Trading card size in mm, inches and pixels

Most trading card games, including the One Piece Card Game, Pokémon and Magic, use the same card size. Here are the numbers you need to design and print your own cards.

Make a card at this size

Standard card size

A standard trading card is 63 × 88 mm, or 2.5 × 3.5 inches, with rounded corners. Yu-Gi-Oh! cards are an exception: they are smaller, 59 × 86 mm.

Size in pixels

At 300 DPI a card is 744 × 1039 pixels, and at 600 DPI it is 1488 × 2079 pixels. MakeTCG downloads cards at 600 DPI by default, with 300 DPI and full resolution as other options.

Bleed for printing

Print shops usually ask for 3 mm of bleed on every side, so the art goes past the cut line and no white edge shows. With bleed a card is 69 × 94 mm: 815 × 1110 pixels at 300 DPI or 1630 × 2220 at 600 DPI.

Printing at home

Print at 100% scale with “fit to page” turned off, use thick paper or card stock, and cut along the guides. Proxy Print lays your cards out at the real size on A4, Letter or A3 with cut guides.

Sleeves

Standard card sleeves are about 66 × 91 mm. A printed card slides in easily, and with an old card behind it, it feels like a real one.

Questions

What DPI should I use to print cards?
300 DPI is enough for most printers. 600 DPI keeps small text sharper, which helps on cards with a lot of ability text.
Is a One Piece card the same size as a Pokémon card?
Yes. Both use the standard trading card size, 63 × 88 mm. Magic cards are the same size too.
How big is a card with bleed?
With 3 mm on every side it is 69 × 94 mm. Cut along the inner line and you get a 63 × 88 mm card.
