How to print your own trading cards
Design your cards free in MakeTCG, then print them at home or order real printed cards. What matters: the size, the file, the card stock and the finish.
Start with the standard size
Trading cards are 63 × 88 mm (2.5 × 3.5 in), the size of most card games, so they fit standard sleeves and deck boxes. MakeTCG designs every card at exactly this size.
Use a print-ready file
Print from a full-size image, never a screenshot: 300 DPI keeps text sharp and 600 DPI keeps fine lines crisp. For a printed card order you need no file at all: we print from your design.
Choose card stock and finish
Card stock of about 300–350 gsm feels like a real card and shuffles well. Holographic foil, matte or gloss change the look; write what you would like in your request.
Print at home or order
At home, print on thick paper, cut along the edges and sleeve the card. To order, add your cards to the cart, send a request, and we reply with the price, shipping included.
Before you print
- Text stays inside the frame, away from the edges.
- Your art is sharp at full size.
- You have the right to use the pictures on your cards.
- You know how many copies of each card you want.
